Chris Borgatti Bio

Growing up I played the piano, and routinely took lessons for close to 13 years. I always loved music, but never thought I would pick up the guitar and start a band while I attended St. John's University in New York City. It was only then that I really started to develop a strong interest in music. My first band, Sheng Sway, was what got me hooked on music and the creative process. Although we wrote over a dozen songs, we only recorded a single demo. This music can be found on my soundcloud page. Music however is in my blood as I come from a long line of musicians, both classically trained and self-taught.After I moved back home to Lewiston NY, I knew I wanted to continue to
play music. So I bought an acoustic guitar and started gigging. After playing solo for a few months and having others sit in with me, my act started to catch on and I was able to drag Pat Manella and Peter Heuer into the mix. Truly thankful for the opportunity to play along side these two. They continually impress me each and every night, and push me to improve my music. Having a great core of musicians around me has pushed me to expand my understanding of the guitar and music in general. Also, we are blessed with an incredible wealth of musicians in this small corner of the world. I’ve had the privilege of becoming friends with many of them and having a handful of them sit in with me including Tony Petricelli, Jay Moynihan, Paul Yates, and Alex Foote sit in. My greatest musical influences are Van Morrison, Neil Young, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, and of course the once Buffalo-based band Free Henry.
Chris Borgatti & Friends

Chris Borgatti and Friend’s is a collection of some of the area’s best musicians. From duo acoustic gigs to full band shows, we have played to crowded venues throughout Western New York. This project can also be customized to fit the mood of any type of event. While covering some of the best-known music from the last 50 years, the band puts an original spin on each song, which is a product of creativity, improvisation, and musicianship. Each night the band plays may feature a different lineup. Mainstays each show has come to include Pat Manella on percussion and Peter Heuer on lead guitar. Tony Petricelli (Bass/Vocals) and Paul
Berringer (Sax) have been huge parts to the growing reputation of the band as they have sat in on a number of occasions. Other friends have included Jay Moynihan, Paul Yates, Mike Smith, and Alex Foote. There certainly will be more to come!

I'm a guitar player based out of Niagara Falls, NY. At 24 years old, I've been playing/writing/performing music for more than half my life. Throughout the past decade, I've had the pleasure of performing in several different bands and collaborative projects. It has become my goal to travel, explore, and meet new people through music. Influences - The Beatles, Derek Trucks, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Strokes, Eric Krasno, John Scofield Band- No Wounded Soldiers
